The
Etiquette Dinner had a great turn out this year. The food was provided
by Sodexo and I must say it was amazing. On the menu for the event was
vegetable medley soup followed by a salad, bread and butter, sorbet,
baked chicken with mashed potatoes crusted with cheese and a glaze of
ginger sauce for the main entrée and dessert was pumpkin cheesecake,
which really set the dinner off.
Our
speaker for the night was Erin Wolfram from the University of Kansas,
an etiquette specialist. Throughout the wonderful meal, we were taught
how to properly get in and out of our seats when coming and going. We
also learned how to let the waiter/waitress know when you are finished
with a something by simply placing it a specific way. Erin even taught
us how to pass items across the table without having to reach over
anyone or rudely interrupt someone’s eating. I have taken a lot of
useful tips from this year’s etiquette dinner and I would strongly
encourage anyone in the future to attend this amazing informative event.
P.S. there will be food provided.
